フォーマル・パーティー Jesus Formal

先週木曜日は研究室の学生たち11人と一緒に、ジーザスカレッジ（Jesus College）のフォーマルパーティに夫婦で参加しました。
ジーザスカレッジの食堂に入ると、そこはまさにHarry Potterの世界！高い天井に下げられた豪華なシャンデリア、壁に施された見事な彫刻、そして肖像画。今、イギリスに生活していることを改めて感じさせられました。
食事は、前菜に始まりスープ、メインの魚料理と続き、デザートとコーヒーまで十分に楽しむことができました。


I and my wife attended a formal party at Jesus College last Thursday with 11 students in the lab. When I entered the dining hall, I was impressed by gorgeous chandeliers and sculptures on the wall, which remided me of the world of Harry Potter. We enjoyed the great time with our friends and meals there.
